Miss Sarah Mills is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Welbeck London and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, where she leads the Colorectal Cancer MDT. She holds an Honorary Senior Lecturership at Imperial College London and was appointed UK National Training Lead for the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy in 2022.
Her specialist practice spans colorectal and anal cancer, TAMIS for early rectal lesions, complex interventional endoscopy, and the surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease.

TAMIS (transanal minimally invasive surgery) removes large polyps and early rectal cancers through the anus, avoiding bowel resection. Miss Mills is one of a small number of UK surgeons offering this privately.

Research & Education
Miss Mills' MD(Res) examined the immunomodulatory role of n-3 fatty acids in inflammatory bowel disease, awarded by Imperial College in 2005. She sits on the RM Partners Regional Cancer Alliance and publishes widely in peer-reviewed surgery journals.
She also leads and teaches surgical safety courses in sub-Saharan Africa through the SAFE OR programme, a multidisciplinary theatre team course run under the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Appointed 2022. Miss Mills leads endoscopy training and accreditation standards across the UK through the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
